چکیده
Determining social values for protecting coastal assets, including parks, beaches and foreshores, is important because of potential losses with climate change impacts. In a case study application in Victoria, Australia, the travel cost method was applied to value use camping parks by visitors, choice modelling technique estimate willingness pay (WTP) visitors residents avoid future foreshore campground access beach width, through protection adaptation efforts. While both had similar park campsite, protection, valued as more whereas placed greater importance campsites. Visitor were higher sites closer metropolitan Melbourne. These results provide government agencies managers better information about low lying assets will enable informed decisions be made investing management specific resources face sea level rise threats.

Climate Change and Agriculture: Economic Impacts
Agriculture is arguably the most important sector of the economy that is highly dependent on climate. A large body of scientific data and models have been developed to predict the impacts of the contemporary and future climate. Since the first IPCC Assessment Report was published in 1990, substantial efforts have been directed toward understanding climate change impacts on agricultural systems....
متن کاملClimate change in Australia: agricultural impacts and adaptation
The rate and extent of warming, along with impacts on rainfall distributions, are key determinants of agricultural impacts and will affect the success of adaptation strategies. The likely gradual unfolding of climate change should provide farmers in many regions and industries with sufficient time to utilise or develop adaptation strategies. Many of these strategies are likely to be based on fa...

This review summarizes recent research in Australia on: (i) climate and geophysical trends over the last few decades; (ii) projections for climate change in the 21st century; (iii) predicted impacts from modelling studies on particular ecosystems and native species; and (iv) ecological effects that have apparently occurred as a response to recent warming. Consistent with global trends, Australi...

The research considers both observedclimate (temperature and precipitation) changes during recent decades (1960-2009)based on instrumental records and projected future changes to 2100 based on theMAGICC/SCENGEN 5.3 compound model. 20 General Circulation models are usedbased on a...
متن کاملClimate Change and Economic Growth: Impacts and Interactions
An integrated assessment model (ENVISAGE), including a CGE-based economic module and a climate module, is used to assess the effects of a variety of economic impacts induced by climate change. These impacts include: sea level rise, variations in crop yields, water availability, human health, tourism, energy demand. Two scenarios are compared: a baseline growth path, disregarding any climate cha...
